Aperture Science: The Weighted Companion Cube

Aperture Laboratories, where we do what we must because we can! But only for the living.

I love Portal and Portal 2. I love Portal so much, my ringtone is Still Alive and notification tone a turret saying "Hey! It's me!" Yep.

I can spend hours raging against GLaDOS' sarcasm, squeeing and crying about the turrets (adorbale, but oh so evil), and trying to solve those puzzles with physics. I dragged the Companion Cube for as long as I could through Portal. I tried to save it from euthanasia, as the internet claimed you could do.

This bag started life as an "I ❤ Yaoi" bag from Mythic Wear that I found at Borders though I don't love yaoi. (I do, however, have a strange, obsessive love for square and boxy bags.) I found the stencil for the Cube here (but I'm not sure the blog is still even active) and used this tutorial to turn the printed image into a stencil. (I am TERRIBLE at cutting out stencils but I don't normally use them.) I used acrylics, because I'm lazy, don't like fabric paint that much and acrylic will hold up for this sort of project. 

Now that I have a Companion Cube bag, I need to find some use for my Aperture Science patch (Ze Boyfriend got it from Dragon*Con this past Labor Day weekend).XD Maybe I'll use it for my future GLaDOS cosplay 8D
